The idea
Most people rent their AI assistant from a big platform. We decided to own ours, every byte of memory, every credential, every line of automation living on hardware we control. Monty is the result: a genuinely personal assistant that knows the context, respects the boundaries, and answers to no one but us.

Reachable over secure chat from anywhere. Voice notes are transcribed locally; replies can come back as text or natural speech.

A file-based long-term memory plus a semantic knowledge base, so Monty remembers context across every conversation.
Controls lights room by room, tracks bin days, manages the shopping list, and surfaces it all on a kitchen display.
Scheduled jobs and heartbeats let Monty check in, run reminders, and handle background work without being asked.
Everything runs on our own kit behind a zero-trust mesh. No data leaves the perimeter unless we say so.
